Daily Rituals

152 lbs....And just 6 months ago i was at a fit 135 lbs. That's 20 lbs of happiness and indulgence without regrets. The culprit? Stress! Food and sleep and TV in the arms of my partner became my bestfriends at home. I took a lot of time [like 24/7] off at the gym and spent more time in bed after work. A week ago my friend Tippi whom i haven't seen for months introduced me to Herbalife products. I took offense! Was i that heavy already?!! hehe..Just kidding..Seriously, i do need to lose some weight. Or a lot of it. So i said ok, i'll consider. I wanna lose weight but i would want to lose the healthy way.I got enough work to do and I would need all the energy to last the whole day without always thinking of food which i know would happen should i go on a diet. i love food and yea, food loves me! I got the chocolate milk shake [as good as McDonald's!! hehe] which should replace a meal or two everyday and i also got the Herbal Tea [which tastes like heaven by the way] which should replace my morning coffee. I just started yesterday and hopefully i get to squeeze it in among my countless other daily rituals. I have become a Wheatgrass addict [thanks to watching Diane Castillejo's product feature presentation on TV] which i think boosts my energy every morning. Only now do i realize how many different liquids i take just an hour after waking up-- Oxy plus water, Easy Pharma wheatgrass, Herbalife shake, Herbalife Tea and Starbucks coffee by mid morning! Jeez, i'm a walking tank of liquid products. I wonder now how many brands i support with my daily habits. Oh, and i also can't get myself to stop using Obagi which i started months ago. I can't say how faithful i am to the N number of steps of Obagi skin care but i do try my best most of the time. After all it's a USD 400 investment for 6 Obagi bottles. Skin is an investment they say but i have yet to reap any cash rewards from it. Hohum! And just this morning i actually started using hair conditioner to give my hair care ritual a different kick for a change. I never was a fan of hair conditioners. I always thought shampoos were the be-all of hair. I would just always buy conditioners but never really got to use them. Let's see if this time around Head and Shoulders would actually find its place in my bathing experience, so to speak. :) And what about oral hygiene? I say i have a four step ritual after every meal. Brush, Floss [i only use Oral B silk floss for that smooth gliding], Tongue Cleaning then capped with a 30 second gargle with Bactidol. And i do have that Listerine pre brushing teeth whitening gargle solution waiting to be used.  But i do have that favorite daily habit that i think is my best investment of all. I pray whenever i can and every chance  i get. A 10 second prayer or a finishing a whole rosary, it doesn't matter. I talk to my God and i do allow Him to talk back to me. i start my work at the office by reading the daily scriptures on line at http://www.usccb.org/nab/. And the best part of it all? It doesn't cost me anything! Later then...
