Dining at the Wine Museum

I have read from a magazine how good the food is at the Wine Museum. So last night, i brought along my dad and Kirby to find out how true it was. And yes, i was not disappointed one bit. In fact, i must say i was soooo impressed with the service and the food. We ordered paella, callos, pollo mexicano and cabbage with bacon and pumpkin soup. It took around 25 minutes for our food to arrive because it does take awhile to prepare the paella. It was an ok wait because the ambience was very relaxing, with nice paintings and lighting around. Ironically though, we didn't have any wine for dinner but plain, bottled water. The food tasted so much better than i expected. The paella was definitely superb with the rice just boiled to the right softness. With the very reasonable prices on the menu [total bill was only P1500], you would think they would scrimp on the ingredients. But no, each and every dish we enjoyed was prepared with more than enough of the finest ingredients. The big surprise was how much we enjoyed the sliced cabbage sauteed in bacon. T'was such a revelation how the subtleness of the cabbage blended so well with the saltiness of the bacon bits. Was hoping to leave room for dessert but then again, there's always a next time. There's so many other dishes in the menu that i must try soonest! Later then...
